Eagle Creek Park – iNaturalist Demonstration

Stop by the Earth Discovery Center for a demonstration on how to use iNaturalist to record nature observations, and then head out into the park on your own to look for plants and animals to record for the Indianapolis City Nature Challenge https://sciencemarchind.org/events/cnc/!

Join iNaturalist ahead of time and upload the iNaturalist app to your phone to get a jump start: www.inaturalist.org (photo observations can also be uploaded over a computer). To make observations you’ll need a phone camera or regular camera. Free with park admission ($5/vehicle Marion County resident, $6/vehicle out of county).

 

Eagle Creek Park – Arbor Day Celebration

The Arbor Day Celebration is an event to celebrate trees. Activities will include hikes, art projects, music, games, and an opportunity to take part in the Indianapolis City Nature Challenge. There is something for all ages at this family-friendly event. Activities will be available both indoors and out. This event is free with park admission. Gate fees are $5 per car for Marion County residents and $6 per car for non-residents.

Great Indy Cleanup

Volunteers will pick up trash, plant trees, spruce up gardens, paint murals, and other beautification projects in the SoIndy neighborhoods.

Riverside Nature Walk
